Store Data That Lives Where Your Team Already Works

Orders in a spreadsheet, customers in a database, product pages in a content site and theme code in a repository: a store spreads across tools quickly. The packages below connect each one through Shopify's API, with the plumbing a developer would add if they had the time.

Who this is for

Who Needs a Shopify API Integration

The request usually starts with a spreadsheet that has grown too important to maintain by hand, or a developer who left a script nobody understands. These are the stores that hire us for it.

Operators who live in spreadsheets

Orders, stock and customers are copied into Sheets, Excel or Airtable daily. We replace the copying with a sync and add the checks that keep it from breaking.

Stores with a database behind the store

A Postgres, MySQL or warehouse copy of store data feeds reports and tools. We build the pipeline and document the schema.

Brands with a content site beside Shopify

A WordPress or Webflow site sells through Shopify. We connect products, carts and customers so the two do not drift apart.

Teams who inherited a script

An old integration works until it does not. We read it, rebuild it with logs and retries and leave notes behind.

Merchants who care about uptime

A sync that fails silently costs more than one that alerts. We add monitoring, retries and a way to replay missed events.

Developers who need a hand

Webhook handling, rate limits and bulk jobs are fiddly. We build the parts you would rather not, to your specification.

01Spreadsheets

Spreadsheets and no-code databases

For teams that run operations from tables, using Shopify inventory management API integration to keep them current.

From $390

Google Sheets

Orders, products and customers written to Google Sheets as they change, with one row per event and a rule that stops duplicates. A test order proves a row appears once.

A stable column layout and an idempotent write rule mean formulas keep working and a repeated event never doubles a row.

Best for: Teams that run the business from Sheets

Microsoft Excel

Shopify data delivered to Excel workbooks in OneDrive or SharePoint, with a stable layout so formulas keep working. Refresh behaviour is tested before you rely on it.

Refresh behaviour is tested with files open and closed, so a workbook in OneDrive or SharePoint never ends up half updated.

Best for: Teams standardised on Excel

Airtable

Shopify records synced to Airtable bases with linked tables for customers and orders, and a loop guard so edits do not echo back. Changes are tested in both directions where you want two-way sync.

A loop guard stops an edit in Airtable from echoing back to Shopify, and linked tables are tested with customers who have many orders.

Notion

Notion databases fed with orders, tasks and product notes from Shopify, with fields mapped to the properties your team uses. Edits made in Notion are limited to what you approve.

Only the properties you approve can be edited back to Shopify, which keeps a casual change in a database page from altering an order.

How Shopify Data Is Mapped Before It Moves

Every API integration starts with a data map. We match fields, flag duplicates and test webhook delivery, and only then let the sync run on live data. The diagram shows the stages we follow on every build.

How a Shopify API Integration Project Runs

A spreadsheet sync and a database pipeline follow the same six steps. Scope grows or shrinks, yet the order holds, and nothing writes to your live systems until the test passes.

  1. 1

    Choose the system and package

Find your system's page, choose a package and check the price and delivery estimate before paying.

  2. 2

    Choose how we get access

Choose between a collaborator request, a Partner-account build that we transfer to you, and a staff login with limited rights. For the other system we use a user or key you create with limited rights.

  3. 3

    Write the data map

We list each field, where it comes from, where it goes and who owns it after the first write. Duplicates, deletions and edits are decided on paper first.

  4. 4

    Build with safeguards

Webhooks are registered, writes are made safe to repeat, loop guards are added and failures raise an alert. All of it is built against a test copy.

  5. 5

    Test volume and failure

We send ordinary events, bursts and deliberate failures, such as a downed endpoint, and check that nothing is lost or doubled.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

After approval the sync switches to live data. You receive a recorded walkthrough, the data map and notes on how to replay a missed event.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Brands Hire Us for Shopify API Integration

Anyone can call an API once. Brands hire us for the retries, loop guards and documentation that keep a sync trustworthy for years.

Shopify is all we do

Our work has been Shopify and nothing else since 2015, with more than 450 launched stores. Webhook behaviour and API limits are familiar before your project starts.

A fixed price per system

Each system has a page with three packages and the price shown first. Hosting and plans stay between you and the vendors.

Built to fail safely

Idempotent writes, loop guards, alerts and replay are part of the build, not extras.

Tested on bad days

We test bursts and outages on purpose, so the first failure happens in testing.

You own the code and accounts

Scripts, keys and databases stay yours, with access we use removed at handover.

FAQ

Shopify API Integration FAQs

Direct answers on cost, systems, safety and what the build includes.

How much does a Shopify API integration cost?

Packages start at $390 for a single data flow and rise with the number of flows, the system and the safeguards involved. Every system page lists three packages and the expected delivery time before you pay. Hosting and subscriptions are billed by the vendors.

Can you hire a Shopify integration developer for a one-off job?

Yes. Instead of paying by the hour to hire Shopify integration developer time, you buy a fixed-price build with a written scope and no retainer. A developer on our team does the work.

Do you build a custom Shopify integration API for unusual systems?

Yes. If a system has an API, we can connect it, and we scope it as a fixed build after reading the documentation. Send a quote request with the system's name.

Can you do Shopify inventory management API integration?

Yes. Stock levels can be read from or written to inventory systems, with rules for locations, reserved stock and conflicts. We test with oversell scenarios before it goes live.

What is a Shopify integration app development project?

It is a small app or service we build to carry your data between Shopify and another system. We build it as a fixed-price project and hand you the code and the notes.

How do you integrate Shopify with WordPress?

We link products, cart and checkout hand-off, and sync customers where needed. Guides and examples exist, but results depend on your theme and plugins, so we test on your real pages.

What does a Shopify WordPress integration cost?

Shopify WordPress integration examples range from a simple product embed to a full customer sync. A basic link is a single-system package on the WordPress page. Larger builds with custom cart behaviour or customer sync sit in higher packages, and the page shows each price before you pay.

Is there a Shopify WordPress integration tutorial I can follow myself, with examples?

Many guides exist, from a basic Shopify WordPress integration guide to long walkthroughs, and some stores do well with them. If you want it done and tested for you, the WordPress page covers the setup, and we write a short guide for the changes you will want later.

Can you set up a Shopify GitHub integration for my theme?

Yes. We connect your repository to a theme, set branch rules and write a short guide for your team. Your history stays in GitHub, so every change can be reviewed and rolled back.

Do you build a Shopify Webflow integration?

Yes. We connect Webflow collections to Shopify products and checkout, check variants and stock display and test the cart on phones. The Webflow page lists packages and prices.

What database does Shopify use, and can I get a copy?

Shopify manages its own database and does not give direct access to it. You can keep a copy of your store data in your own database through the API and webhooks, and we build and test that.

Can you hire a database developer for Shopify data work?

Yes. Database packages cover schema design, loading, reconciliation and documentation for the systems listed above, and the quote card handles any other database.
