The short version

Pay Once for Most Jobs, Half Up Front for Large Ones

Most orders are paid in full at checkout.

When you use a service calculator, the total you see is the total you pay. You check out securely and the order locks the scope and the price. There are no hourly meters and no end-of-project surprises.

Large orders work slightly differently. When the total is above $2,500, the calculator shows a 50% deposit amount. You pay that to start, and the remaining balance is invoiced separately. The deposit and the balance together equal the total you saw.

All prices are in US dollars. Taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout based on your details.

In depth

How Payment Works From Total to Receipt

A fixed price only helps if you know exactly what you pay and when. This section walks through each case.

Every service on this site has a calculator that adds up your chosen package, options, extras and delivery speed into a single total. That total is the amount for the scope the service describes. The payment steps below start from that figure.

Orders up to $2,500

For most orders the total is paid in full at checkout. Checkout is secure, the order locks the scope and the price, and you receive an order record. After that you provide the brief and any access we need, and the work follows the usual process.

Orders above $2,500

When the total is above $2,500, the calculator shows a 50% deposit amount. You pay the deposit to start and the balance is invoiced separately. Together the deposit and the balance equal the total you saw, with no extra fees added for splitting the payment.

Currency and tax

All prices and invoices are in US dollars, for clients in any country. Taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout from your details, so they appear before you pay and not afterwards.

Quoted custom work

Work that is not in the catalogue is paid as stated in its written quote. The quote shows the scope, the fixed price and any deposit and balance terms before you approve it, and nothing starts until you do.

If a total or an invoice does not look the way you expected, tell us before you pay. We would rather clarify first.

Why this works

Six Benefits of Paying a Fixed Price

Fixed pricing changes the conversation about money.

You know the total first

The calculator shows the exact amount before checkout, so there are no estimates to second-guess.

The scope is locked

Paying locks the scope and the price, so what was agreed is what is delivered.

No hourly meter

There is no running clock and no extra hours added at the end.

Clear deposit rule

Only orders above $2,500 use a deposit, and it is a plain 50%.

A full record

You receive an order record that matches the scope and the price.

Secure checkout

Card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored in project messages.

Examples

Illustrative Payment Splits

These examples show how the 50% rule works. They are examples of the rule, not services or prices.

Order totalPaid to startInvoiced later
$1,200$1,200 at checkoutNothing
$2,500$2,500 at checkoutNothing
$3,000$1,500 deposit$1,500 balance
$4,400$2,200 deposit$2,200 balance
$6,000$3,000 deposit$3,000 balance

The deposit rule applies when the order total is above $2,500. Exact amounts for your order appear in the calculator.

Things Payments Do Not Include

A few costs sit outside a service price. Knowing them early avoids surprises.

  • Third-party app plans. Apps have their own fees, paid to the app provider. We show them to you before you pay and we never state an app's price ourselves.
  • Shopify plan and domain fees. Your Shopify subscription and domain are paid to Shopify and your registrar.
  • Extra scope. Anything outside the written scope is quoted separately.
  • Stock or paid assets that you choose to license are paid to their owners, and we tell you before using them.

Refunds and cancellations follow the refund policy, and revisions follow the revision and handover policy. This page covers only how and when you pay.
