OpenThis policy explains when a refund is available, how to ask for one and how refunds are paid.
Last updated: October 10, 2026.
This policy explains how Store Design Expert handles cancellations and refund requests. It forms part of our terms of service. Every service has a written scope and a fixed price, so a refund request is reviewed against what was agreed, what was delivered and what is still open.
If you cancel before we have started work on your order, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount you paid for that order. Please contact us with your order number as soon as you can. Work counts as started when we have begun the build or other production work, not when you place the order or send the brief.
If you cancel after work has started, we refund the part of the price that relates to work not yet done. We work out the amount by comparing what has been completed with the written scope. Work that has been completed and delivered is not refundable.
If the delivered work does not match the written scope, tell us and we will correct it as part of your revision rounds. If, after the revisions, the work still does not meet the scope, you may ask for a refund of the part of the price that relates to the work that does not meet it. We review each request in good faith and explain our decision.
Every package includes two revision rounds. Requests for changes that are outside the written scope, or a change of taste about something you approved, are new work and are not a reason for a refund.
Please raise any problem with delivered work within 14 days of handover. After that, work is treated as accepted, and further changes are quoted as small tasks. Refund requests for orders that were cancelled before work started can be made at any time before work begins.
Use the contact page and choose the revisions or handover topic. Include your order number, the part of the written scope you expected and a short description or screenshot of what you received. We reply with a clear answer.
Approved refunds are paid in US dollars to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the refund and may convert the amount using its own rates.
For orders above $2,500 that use a 50 percent deposit, a cancellation before work starts returns the deposit in full. After work starts, the deposit is applied to the work done, and we refund any part of it that exceeds the value of that work. If the value of the work done is more than the deposit, we will tell you before invoicing the balance, and the balance will relate only to completed work.
If you disagree with a decision, reply and tell us why. We will review it again. If we cannot agree, you keep any rights you have under the law that applies to you, including the right to contact your payment provider.
We may update this policy. The version in force when you order applies to your order. The date at the top shows the latest update.

The policy above is the formal text. This section describes what happens when you ask for a refund and why the steps are in that order.
A fair refund process starts with clear scope. Because every service has a written scope and a fixed price, a refund conversation can be about something specific: what was agreed, what was delivered and what is still open. It is an explanation, not legal advice.
If you change your mind before work has begun, tell us as soon as you can, with your order number. At that point nothing has been spent on your project, which gives the clearest case for a refund. The refund policy sets out how this is reviewed.
Once work is underway, time and effort have been spent on your project. A request at this stage is reviewed against how much of the scope has been completed. We look at what has been delivered, what is still outstanding and what a fair outcome is for both sides.
The first step is revision, not refund. Every package includes two revision rounds, so a gap between what was agreed and what was delivered is usually fixed by correcting the work. If the work still does not meet the written scope after revision, a refund can be considered under the policy.
A refund is not available for a change of mind about design preferences that were not in the brief, for results that depend on factors outside the scope such as sales or traffic, or for third-party app fees paid directly to app vendors. The policy lists these so there are no surprises.
The fastest route to a fair outcome is to contact us early, with your order number and a short description of the gap between the scope and the work.
A clear request gets a clear answer.
It is in your order confirmation and on your order page.
Quote the part of the written scope that you expected.
A short description or a screenshot makes the gap clear.
Choose the revisions or handover topic and include your order number.
We compare the work with the scope, offer a correction where that fits and explain any refund decision.
If you sell products on Shopify, your customers expect a clear refund policy. Here is how to create one.
A clear refund policy builds trust and reduces disputes. Shopify lets you publish one from your admin, and customers can see it in your footer and at checkout.
Open the order in your Shopify admin, choose the refund option, select the items and amounts, and confirm. Shopify returns the money through the original payment method where the payment provider allows it. Processing times depend on your payment provider and the customer's bank.
Policy wording drafted from your own facts is not legal advice. A legal adviser can review it if you sell regulated products or serve customers in several regions.
How requests are generally approached under the policy.
| Situation | First step | What is reviewed |
|---|---|---|
| Change of mind before work starts | Contact us with your order number | That work has not begun |
| Work started, you want to stop | Contact us as early as possible | How much of the scope is complete |
| Work differs from the scope | Ask for a revision | The written scope against the delivered work |
| Still not matching after revision | Request a refund review | Whether the scope was met |
| Deposit on a large order | See payment terms and deposits | How the deposit applies to work done |
| Third-party app fees | Contact the app vendor | These are paid to the vendor, not to us |
