Shopify + Simplify, set up for you

Shopify Simplify Integration, That Survives Real Orders

A Shopify Simplify integration depends on which Simplify: ECGrid Simplify is an EDI connector set up through a Shopify Custom App with your myshopify.com URL, Client ID and Client Secret, Zapier links a Simplify client tool with triggers like a new blog, and Simplified is a social media app. Simplify eCommerce and Simplify My Login are unrelated apps. We confirm yours, then build, test and hand over, from $390.

  • Which Simplify confirmed first
  • Custom app created with the right scopes
  • EDI or client records flowing correctly
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Our track record

450+ Shopify Stores Launched Since 2015. Your Simplify Connection Gets the Same Care.

A link between Simplify and your store pays for itself only if the data is right on a normal busy day. Having spent a decade building stores, we know where orders, customers and products most often break an integration, and we plan for it.

Who this is for

Who Needs a Careful Shopify Simplify integration Build

Simplify is a shared name, so the first job is picking the right product. These are the cases we handle.

You are a good fit if
  • You sell on Shopify today or soon
  • You will own the Simplify account
  • You prefer a quote to an hourly meter
  • You can approve a test within a few days
  • Teams needing EDI

ECGrid Simplify connects via a custom app.

  • Teams entering credentials

Client ID and Secret are required.

  • Teams on Zapier

A Shopify and Simplify link exists.

  • Teams posting socially

Simplified is a social media app.

  • Teams unsure which Simplify

    Several products share the name.

  • Teams on old guides

    Private app credentials are deprecated.

Problems solved

Shopify Simplify Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Shared names and credentials cause failed setups. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Wrong Simplify

The outcome

Nothing fits. We confirm first.

The problem

URL entered with https

The outcome

The connection fails. We enter it correctly.

The problem

Private app credentials used

The outcome

They are deprecated. We use a custom app.

The problem

Token over-scoped

The outcome

Risk rises. We limit scopes.

The problem

Records duplicated

The outcome

Lists clutter. We key on IDs.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Setup is unwritten, so the next change starts from guesswork. We write down the triggers, fields and tests.

Simplify and Shopify: How the Connection Is Wired

An integration is easiest to judge when you can see it. The picture shows the pieces we build for Simplify: the records on each side, the status of every link and the log a person can read.

Six Stages From Brief to Live Simplify Sync

Six stages, in order. Nothing touches live data until you have seen it work on a copy, and your calculator choices decide how long each stage takes.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

First we find out what you sell, how your team uses Simplify and which events count. A quick look at your orders and tasks tells us where to begin and what to avoid.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

You approve narrow access to Shopify and Simplify, using an OAuth sign-in with access to one workspace. We confirm the connection with a live read before building on it.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

Together we map order number, due date, assignee and notes, decide which system wins each clash and write down how blanks behave.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

The flow is built against test data, never your live records. You see the plan and, where useful, a recorded run.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

Cases tested: a custom order, a refund request and a rush shipment, plus refunds and edits. Every result is compared with Shopify's own figures.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

On your approval the flow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.

How We Protect Your Orders and Customer Data

None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.

Narrow access, in your name

We request only the permissions the flow needs, via an OAuth sign-in with access to one workspace, and you own every account.

Build in a copy, never live

We never build on live data: the flow is tested on test records and your real orders and tasks wait for your approval.

Nothing sent without approval

Every customer-facing message is reviewed with you first, then switched on.

Counts compared, not assumed

Every load ends with a count against the source, which catches gaps and doubles quickly.

Secrets kept in a vault

Keys and tokens live in a secure vault, not in notes, spreadsheets or chat.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

The price is visible before you pay, and in-scope changes get two structured rounds, so small tweaks never turn into hourly bills.

Choose your packageRequired

Choose the smallest package that covers your case. You can always add triggers or history from the extras list.

The essentials: Simplify connected, one flow built to create a task with the order details, tested end to end.

  • Simplify connected using an OAuth sign-in with access to one workspace
  • One trigger built: when an order needs custom work
  • Order number, due date and assignee matched across both tools
  • A unique key on every write
  • Checks on a custom order and a refund request
  • Test log plus a recorded walkthrough

Three flows running: Simplify will create a task with the order details; move the card to the next column; and open a review task for the right person, plus filters, retries and alerts.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Events handled: an order needs custom work; an order is fulfilled; a refund is requested
  • Notes plus custom fields matched
  • Filters by tag, country and value
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Test on a custom order, a refund request and a rush shipment

Two-way sync with history loaded, a fortnight of monitoring and a runbook your team can follow.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way updates with per-field winners
  • Past tasks loaded in one pass
  • Monitoring for 14 days after launch
  • A check of who can do what
  • Team runbook in plain English

Projects beyond these packages, such as bespoke objects, heavy history loads, multi-store designs or a custom API build, are scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a short call.

How many orders does the store process a month?Required

Larger volumes need more careful queuing and testing.

One-way or two-way sync?Required

Two-way sync adds rules for fields both sides can edit.

Are there existing records in Simplify to deal with?Required

We match what exists before anything new is written.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Owners Choose Our Shopify Simplify Integration Over Doing It Alone

You are paying for judgement and for a result you can inspect, not for hours.

We live inside Shopify

Orders, refunds, edits and metafields are what we handle every day, which is a different skill from knowing Simplify's menus.

Notes a colleague can follow

Handover notes record the data paths and the choices behind each setting, ready for whoever works on it next.

Safety designed in

Safety is standard: retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access are part of each build.

A direct line to the builder

You talk to the person working on your flow, and questions about a trigger or field get a plain answer.

A price you can plan around

Every package and option shows its price and extra days in the calculator. Any Simplify plan fees are billed to you by Simplify, so check its current pricing page.

Experience since 2015

Over 450 Shopify stores since 2015 mean we have seen most of the odd cases that break integrations.

What we need to get started

What We Need From You to Begin

We need a way into your store, a Simplify account and a short brief. Pick the access route that suits you.

Approve a collaborator request

Already trading? Share the store address and accept our collaborator request. You remain the owner, we see only what the role allows, and you can remove us whenever you like.

Starting from nothing? We build first

We can assemble the store in our own Shopify Partner account, connect Simplify there, then hand the whole store over by ownership transfer. You pick a Shopify plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

A staff account is an option. The collaborator route is still better, as it can be cancelled instantly and involves no shared password.

Your Simplify access

Create the account yourself and invite us, or ask us to create it with your email. Either way you hold the owner role, and we use an OAuth sign-in with access to one workspace.

Sample records

Share a few typical records from both tools, or point us to them. Real examples reveal how your data is really structured.

A decision-maker

Who signs off the plan and the test? And when Simplify and Shopify disagree, which one is right? Those two answers are all we need.

Your Shopify owner password and card details never reach us. Changes are made in a copy, and we note every setting we touch.
