Shopify stores designed and launched
Shopify Carrier Integration, Priced Up Front and Handed Over
Shopify carrier integration connects your store to the carriers and label tools you ship with: rates at checkout from your own accounts, labels bought in bulk, tracking sent back and rules for which carrier ships what. Third-party carrier-calculated rates depend on your plan, and sources disagree on the details. We check your plan, choose between Shopify Shipping, ShipStation or Shippo, build the rules and test them, from $290.
- Carrier setup matched to your plan: checkout rates, labels or both
- Label tool chosen on cost and volume: Shopify Shipping, ShipStation or Shippo
- Carrier rules by weight, destination or product
- Test log and a recorded handover

A Decade of Shopify Stores Behind Every Automation We Build.
More than 450 launches since 2015 showed us what breaks and when. That is why every build opens with a test plan and ends with a log you can read.

Carrier setups vary by plan and volume. These are the cases we build for.
- Your store runs on Shopify

- You want a fixed price and a written scope
- You can share the access we ask for
Stores comparing Shopify Shipping and ShipStation
Shopify's tools are included with the plan; ShipStation needs its own subscription. We compare on your labels per month.
Stores using their own carrier accounts
Connecting UPS, FedEx or USPS accounts needs a qualifying plan. We confirm yours.
Stores shipping many parcel types
Rules choose the carrier and service by weight and destination.
Stores printing labels in bulk
Batch label buying and printing saves minutes per order.
International sellers
Duties and customs forms need to follow the label. We link them.
Owners whose tracking is not sent
Label tools must send tracking back to Shopify. We test it.

What Happens When an order is paid
All automations follow the same path. An event arrives, the rules decide what applies, the action runs and the result is logged where your fulfilment team can see it. This map shows the pieces we build and test before handover.
Our Store Work Behind Your Automation
Automations sit behind the storefront, so here is the storefront we build. Imagine each store below with shipping labels and carriers working quietly in the background.

A fixed order of work keeps the project predictable. You know what happens next at every point.
- 1
Brief and rules
We ask how shipping labels and carriers works today, who does what and where it goes wrong. Together we write each rule in plain words: when an order is paid, then choose the carrier and service by rule.
- 2
Access and platform
Access is narrow and approved by you. We suggest a platform, state what it costs each month and prove the connection with a live read.
- 3
Map the data
We list address, weight, service and tracking number, check formats on both sides and agree what blanks should do.
- 4
Build in a copy
The workflow is built against test data, never your live orders. You see the plan and, where useful, a recorded run.
- 5
Test on real cases
We run a domestic order, an international parcel and a failed address check, then refunds and edits, and verify each outcome against what the store shows.
- 6
Go live and hand over
On your approval the workflow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.
Which Route Fits: Manual, App, Platform or Specialist Build?
The cheapest route is not always the best value. These rows show where the differences appear.
| What matters | Manual process | Single-purpose app | Zapier, Make or n8n | Store Design Expert |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rules written down and agreed | No | Not often | If you document them | Yes |
| Awkward cases checked | If someone remembers | Rarely | If you test it | Yes |
| Duplicate protection | Human error | Hit and miss | If you add it | Yes |
| Failures alert a named person | No | Not always | Only if you add it | Yes |
| Cost agreed before any work | Your team's time | Plan fees only | Fees plus your hours | Yes |
| Documentation and video handover | No | No | No | Yes |
| Accounts stay in your name | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Aftercare | No | Vendor help desk | Platform support | Support window included |
What Keeps Your Store and Data Safe
None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.
Narrow access, in your name
The smallest workable access, with all accounts in your name.
Secrets kept in a vault
We store tokens and keys in a vault and never paste them into documents or messages.
Nothing sent without approval
No message to a customer goes live until you have read and approved it.
Failures raise a flag
A failed run alerts a named person with the order and the reason. Silence never means success.
A written definition of done
The workflow counts as finished only when a domestic order, an international parcel and a failed address check all pass and are logged.
Build in a copy, never live
Test data comes first. Live orders and labels are left alone until you sign off.

Why Owners Choose Our Shopify Carrier Integration Over Doing It Alone
You are paying for judgement and for a result you can inspect, not for hours.
We live inside Shopify
We work with Shopify orders, refunds, edits and metafields daily. That depth is separate from knowing an automation tool's interface.
Tested on your real cases
Tests use the cases your store really sees, for example a domestic order, an international parcel and a failed address check.
4.9+ from verified clients
Every review on this page is from a verified Store Design Expert client, which lets you see how projects went first.
A price you can plan around
Prices and extra days are visible for each package and option. Any platform subscription is billed by the platform; we tell you roughly what it will be.
Safety designed in
Safety is standard: retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access are part of each build.
Notes a colleague can follow
Handover notes record the flow of events and the choices behind each setting, ready for whoever works on it next.
Getting Started: What We Ask For
Three things get the work moving: safe access, a few answers and a decision-maker. Here is the detail.
Approve a collaborator request
If the store is live, send us its address and approve our request. Ownership stays with you, our role is limited, and removal takes one click.
Starting from nothing? We build first
No store yet? We build it in our Partner account, set up the workflow there and transfer the whole store to you, so you choose a plan only at the end.
Or share a staff login
Sharing a staff login is possible. The collaborator route is safer, though: one click removes it and no password is passed around.
Access to the other tools
Invite us to the tools involved or let us set up accounts with your email. In both cases you keep the owner role.
Examples of the work today
Two or three recent cases are enough. They show us how the process runs in practice.
A decision-maker
Who signs off the rules and the test? And when two rules disagree, which wins? Those two answers are all we need.
We never need your owner password or payment details. Access is limited, logged and removable at any time.

Shopify Carrier Integration FAQs
Straight answers on price, scope, timing and what we need from you.
How much does Shopify carrier integration cost?
Single Automation costs $490, Core Automations $990 and Full Automation Set $1790. Platform, volume, the number of connected tools and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $490 and $2510, with delivery from 3 to 14 working days. People also search for "carrier automation shopify"; the work is the same.
How long does shipping labels and carriers automation take?
Single Automation takes 3 to 6 working days, Core Automations 5 to 9 and Full Automation Set 8 to 14. The usual variables are how many tools are involved and how quickly you approve the rules and the test. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a date is fixed. If you came here from "shopify carrier app", the answer is the same.
Can I use my own carrier account on Shopify?
Connecting UPS, FedEx or USPS accounts needs a qualifying plan, and sources differ on which. We check yours. The same service covers "hire shopify carrier developer".
Which plans include carrier-calculated rates?
Shopify says Advanced and Plus include it and Grow can add it; ShipStation's help says Advanced or higher. Another way to phrase it: "how to automate carrier on shopify"; the work is the same.
Shopify Shipping or ShipStation?
Shopify's tools are included with plans; ShipStation needs a separate subscription. We compare for your volume. You may also see it searched as "shopify carrier workflow"; the work is the same.
What about Shippo?
Described as pay-per-label with no monthly minimum on its free plan. Another way to phrase it: "shopify carrier zapier"; the same build answers that too.
Does tracking go back to Shopify?
It should, and we test it. Another way to phrase it: "shopify carrier make.com"; the work is the same.
Can carriers be chosen by rule?
Yes. The same job is behind "shopify carrier n8n".
Can you migrate label tools?
Yes. The same job is behind "shopify carrier expert".
