A careful Clover and Shopify build

Shopify Clover Integration, Set Up Once and Checked Properly

A Shopify Clover integration keeps in-store Clover sales and online orders on the same stock. There is no built-in link: a Clover sale does not change Shopify stock. Connectors such as QuickSync, SKU IQ and Kosmos Central sync inventory, products or orders, with matching of items during setup. Clover may also have its own sync app, unconfirmed. We choose, map locations and test, from $390.

  • Connector chosen for sync direction and cost
  • Product and location matching completed
  • Oversell tests on both channels
  • Test log and a recorded handover

450+ Shopify Stores, 4.9+ From Verified Clients. Your Clover Setup Is Handled by the Same Team.

Verified clients give us an average of 4.9+. Your Clover project gets the same rigour as a full store build: a scope in writing, a duplicate to test in and a record of what was checked.

Who this is for

Is Our Shopify Clover Integration Right for You? Six Typical Cases

Two stock systems oversell without a clear owner. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Your store runs on Shopify
  • You have, or will open, a Clover account
  • You want a fixed price and a written scope
  • You can share the access we ask for
  • Retailers with Clover tills

In-store sales must reduce Shopify stock.

  • Stores selling online

Online orders should reduce Clover item counts.

  • Stores with several locations

Locations must map to Shopify locations correctly.

  • Stores with messy items

    Products are matched during onboarding.

  • Teams expecting native

    There is no built-in connection.

  • Teams reading old listings

Some vendor pages are about 1,000 days old.

Problems solved

Shopify Clover Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Clover syncs fail on matching and direction. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Unmatched items

The outcome

Stock goes to the wrong SKU. We match carefully.

The problem

One-way only

The outcome

Online orders miss Clover. We choose two-way.

The problem

Wrong location

The outcome

Counts drift. We map locations.

The problem

Sync lag

The outcome

Overselling follows. We test timing.

The problem

Duplicate products

The outcome

Imports create twins. We dedupe.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Mapping is unwritten. We document it.

What we connect and check

Clover and Shopify: How the Connection Is Wired

Each connection follows the same path. The store sends an event, we check it against what Clover already holds, the right record is written and the change is logged where your retail team can see it. This map shows the pieces we connect and test before handover.

Process and timeline

From First Call to Live Sync: Our Shopify Clover Integration Process

A fixed order of work keeps the project predictable. You know what happens next at every point.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

The brief covers what you sell, how Clover is used and which events should trigger work. We review some orders and items to decide the starting point and the limits.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

You approve narrow access to Shopify and Clover, using an API key or an app installation. We confirm the connection with a live read before building on it.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

Together we map item id, price, stock and order id, decide which system wins each clash and write down how blanks behave.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

The flow is built against test data, never your live records. You see the plan and, where useful, a recorded run.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

We run a till sale, an online sale and a refund, then refunds and edits, and verify each outcome against what the store shows.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

On your approval the flow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.

Inside every project

Six Safeguards Built Into Every Clover Integration

None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.

Counts compared, not assumed

Once data is loaded, we count both sides, so missing or doubled records show up early.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

You know the cost up front. Two revision rounds cover changes within scope, which keeps tweaks from becoming extra invoices.

Secrets kept in a vault

We store tokens and keys in a vault and never paste them into documents or messages.

Build in a copy, never live

We never build on live data: the flow is tested on test records and your real orders and items wait for your approval.

A written definition of done

We call it complete when a till sale, an online sale and a refund work as agreed and the log proves it.

Failures raise a flag

A failed run alerts a named person with the order and the reason. Silence never means success.

Clover connected and one flow built: reduce stock online, with fields mapped and the result tested.

  • Clover authorised through an API key or an app installation
  • First trigger built: a till sale is made
  • Item id, price and stock matched across both tools
  • Retries can never create a second record
  • Tested with a till sale and an online sale
  • Test log and recorded handover

Clover will reduce stock online, update the till and mirror the refund, with filters, retries and a failure alert.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Events handled: a till sale is made; an online order is placed; a refund is issued
  • Order id plus custom fields matched
  • Tag, country and value filters
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Tested with a till sale, an online sale and a refund

Two-way sync, history load and a fortnight of monitoring, with a written runbook for your team.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way sync, each field with its own rule
  • History load of previous items
  • Two weeks of monitoring after go-live
  • Roles and permissions reviewed
  • Team runbook in plain English

Projects beyond these packages, such as custom objects, heavy history loads, multi-store designs or a custom API build, are scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a short call.

What is your monthly order volume?Required

Volume decides how much load planning the build needs.

One-way or two-way sync?Required

Fields that both systems change need a written winner.

Does Clover already hold records we must match?Required

Existing data is matched to Shopify ids up front.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Why Store Design Expert

What You Get From Us That a Template Does Not

Templates cover the happy path. We cover the rest, and we put the result in writing.

We live inside Shopify

We work with Shopify orders, refunds, edits and metafields daily. That depth is separate from knowing Clover's interface.

Experience since 2015

Over 450 Shopify stores since 2015 mean we have seen most of the odd cases that break integrations.

Tested on your real cases

We test the cases your store actually has, such as a till sale, an online sale and a refund.

Notes a colleague can follow

We document what moves where and which settings we picked, so the next developer starts informed.

A direct line to the builder

You message the person who has your flow open. Questions about a trigger or a field get a straight answer.

A price you can plan around

Every package and option shows its price and extra days in the calculator. Any Clover plan fees are billed to you by Clover, so check its current pricing page.

What we need to get started

Getting Started: What We Ask For

The list is short. Most owners have everything ready in a day.

Approve a collaborator request

Already selling? Send the store address and accept the request we raise. You stay the owner, we see only what the role permits, and you can remove us at any time.

Starting from nothing? We build first

No store yet? We build it in our Partner account, connect Clover there and transfer the whole store to you, so you choose a plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

If it is simpler, a staff login will do. We prefer the collaborator route because it is revocable in one click and no password changes hands.

Your Clover access

Create the account yourself and invite us, or ask us to create it with your email. Either way you hold the owner role, and we use an API key or an app installation.

Sample records

Share a few typical records from both tools, or point us to them. Real examples reveal how your data is really structured.

A decision-maker

Who signs off the plan and the test? And when Clover and Shopify disagree, which one is right? Those two answers are all we need.

Your Shopify owner password and card details never reach us. Changes are made in a copy, and we note every setting we touch.

FAQ

Clover Integration FAQs

Everything owners ask us before booking.

How much does Shopify Clover integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $690, Core Workflows $1390 and Full Integration $2690. Order volume, data direction, existing Clover data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $690 and $3770, with delivery from 3 to 16 working days.

How long does the Clover integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 6 working days, Core Workflows 6 to 10 and Full Integration 9 to 16. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.
