A careful BookingLive and Shopify build

Shopify BookingLive Integration, Built, Tested and Handed Over

A Shopify BookingLive integration runs through Zapier, with no native connector found. One ready-made Zap creates a Shopify blog post whenever BookingLive adds a bookable item, and BookingLive triggers include New Booking, New Customer and New Transaction, with Shopify actions like creating a customer. The page is about four years old. We build, test and hand over, from $390.

  • New bookings creating Shopify customers
  • New bookable items published as blog posts
  • Transactions reconciled with orders
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Who this is for

Six Kinds of Store We Build Shopify BookingLive Integration For

Businesses taking bookings and selling products want customers and offers shared between both. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Shopify is your store platform
  • You can give us limited access to BookingLive
  • You want a clear scope and price
  • Someone can confirm the test results
  • Businesses taking bookings

    New Booking is a trigger.

  • Teams creating customers

    Bookers can become customers.

  • Teams publishing offers

    New items create blog posts.

  • Teams reconciling

    New Transaction is a trigger.

  • Teams with developers

    BookingLive offers an API.

  • Teams on old pages

The Zapier page is about four years old.

Problems solved

Shopify BookingLive Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Booking-to-store links fail on duplicates and matching. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Duplicate customers

The outcome

Lists clutter. We match on email.

The problem

Every item becomes a post

The outcome

The blog floods. We filter.

The problem

Transactions double counted

The outcome

Books disagree. We key on IDs.

The problem

Time zones wrong

The outcome

Visits are missed. We set zones.

The problem

Old Zap broken

The outcome

Steps differ. We test live.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Setup is unwritten, so the next change starts from guesswork. We write down the triggers, fields and tests.

How We Build Your BookingLive Integration, Step by Step

A fixed order of work keeps the project predictable. You know what happens next at every point.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

We ask what you sell, how BookingLive is used and which events matter. A short review of your orders and bookings shows where the flow should start and what it must never do.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

Access is narrow and approved by you, using an API key or an OAuth sign-in. A live read proves the connection works before any build begins.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

We map date and time, capacity, attendee name and ticket type, then agree which side wins each conflict and what blanks should do, in writing.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

Nothing is built on live records. The flow runs on test data first, and you see the plan, plus a recording if useful.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

We test a full session, a group booking and a cancelled ticket, plus refunds and edits, then compare the results with what Shopify shows.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

On your approval the flow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.

What Keeps Your Store and BookingLive Data Safe

None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.

A written definition of done

A flow is finished when it handles a full session, a group booking and a cancelled ticket correctly and the results are logged.

Counts compared, not assumed

Every load ends with a count against the source, which catches gaps and doubles quickly.

Build in a copy, never live

Everything is built and tested on test data, so your live orders and bookings stay untouched until you approve.

Failures raise a flag

A named person receives an alert, with the order and the reason, whenever a run fails.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

The price is visible before you pay, and in-scope changes get two structured rounds, so small tweaks never turn into hourly bills.

Nothing sent without approval

Emails, texts and posts that reach customers are approved by you before they are enabled.

Choose your packageRequired

Choose the smallest package that covers your case. You can always add triggers or history from the extras list.

A single, solid flow: BookingLive will confirm the booking and hold the slot, with mapped fields and a test.

  • BookingLive authorised through an API key or an OAuth sign-in
  • First trigger built: a bookable product is paid
  • Field map covering date and time, capacity and attendee name
  • Every write protected from duplicates
  • Test on a full session and a group booking
  • Written test log and video handover

Core flows live: BookingLive will confirm the booking and hold the slot, issue the ticket to the buyer and release the slot and note the refund, with filters, retries and a failure alert.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Events handled: a bookable product is paid; a ticket order is placed; an order is cancelled
  • Ticket type and custom fields mapped
  • Tag, country and value filters
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Tested with a full session, a group booking and a cancelled ticket

Everything in the core package plus two-way sync, a history load and two weeks of monitoring.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Both-way sync with a winner for each field
  • History load of previous bookings
  • Two weeks of monitoring after go-live
  • Access and roles review
  • Written runbook for your team

Custom objects, unusual authentication, several Shopify stores feeding one BookingLive account, high-volume stores above 10,000 orders a month, and builds that need your own servers are quoted separately at a fixed price.

How busy is the store, in orders per month?Required

High volume calls for batching and a peak-day plan.

Should data move one way or both ways?Required

Syncing both ways means a conflict rule for each shared field.

Does BookingLive already hold records we must match?Required

We match what exists before anything new is written.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Hire Us to Connect BookingLive and Shopify

Most of this job is clicking, and you could do it. People hire us because the unglamorous parts, ids, timing and edge cases, decide whether the connection helps or hurts.

A direct line to the builder

You message the person who has your flow open. Questions about a trigger or a field get a straight answer.

Safety designed in

Retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access are in every build, not offered as extras.

We live inside Shopify

Daily work on orders, refunds and metafields gives us Shopify depth that BookingLive menus alone do not.

A price you can plan around

Prices and extra days are visible for each package and option. Plan fees for BookingLive come from BookingLive directly; its pricing page has the latest.

Notes a colleague can follow

Handover notes record the data paths and the choices behind each setting, ready for whoever works on it next.

Experience since 2015

A decade and more than 450 stores later, few integration quirks are new to us.

What we need to get started

What We Need From You to Begin

We need a way into your store, a BookingLive account and a short brief. Pick the access route that suits you.

Approve a collaborator request

Already trading? Share the store address and accept our collaborator request. You remain the owner, we see only what the role allows, and you can remove us whenever you like.

Starting from nothing? We build first

We can assemble the store in our own Shopify Partner account, connect BookingLive there, then hand the whole store over by ownership transfer. You pick a Shopify plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

Sharing a staff login is possible. The collaborator route is safer, though: one click removes it and no password is passed around.

Your BookingLive access

Either create the BookingLive account yourself and add us, or we open it with your email. You remain the owner, and we work through an API key or an OAuth sign-in.

Sample records

Share a few typical records from both tools, or point us to them. Real examples reveal how your data is really structured.

A decision-maker

We need one person to approve the plan and the test, plus a rule for what wins when BookingLive and Shopify clash.

Your Shopify owner password and card details never reach us. Changes are made in a copy, and we note every setting we touch.

FAQ

BookingLive Integration FAQs

Straight answers on price, scope, timing and what we need from you.

How much does Shopify BookingLive integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $390, Core Workflows $790 and Full Integration $1490. Order volume, data direction, existing BookingLive data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $390 and $2090, with delivery from 3 to 14 working days.

How long does the BookingLive integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 5 working days, Core Workflows 5 to 9 and Full Integration 8 to 14. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.

What does the Zap create?

A blog post per new item. Searches like "bookinglive shopify zapier new booking new customer new transaction new item create blog entry bookable items api marketplace" describe the same work.

Which triggers exist?

Booking, customer, transaction. Queries such as "shopify to bookinglive sync" describe the same work.

Is there an API?

How old is the page?

About four years. If you typed "bookinglive shopify zapier", the answer is the same.

What does it cost?

Fixed price from $390 plus tool fees. This also answers "bookinglive shopify make.com".

Yes. Another way to phrase it: "bookinglive shopify n8n"; this page covers that too.
