A careful Affinity and Shopify build

Shopify Affinity Integration, Wired the Way Your Team Works

A Shopify Affinity integration has no native connector in our research. Zapier links them on a page about six years old, Tray.ai has prebuilt connectors that create persons, organisations and notes, Skyvia syncs without duplicates, and Whalesync advertises two-way sync while saying Affinity is not yet available. We confirm, build, test and hand over, from $390.

  • Customers and orders mapped into Affinity
  • Organisations and notes created without duplicates
  • Sync direction set deliberately
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Our track record

Launched 450+ Shopify Stores Since 2015. Now We Connect Them to the Tools You Run.

A store is only as useful as the systems around it. Our integration work grows out of years spent inside Shopify, so we can tell what a clean order looks like before it reaches Affinity.

Who this is for

Six Reasons Owners Book Shopify Affinity Integration

Teams tracking relationships in Affinity want store customers and deals recorded there. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Shopify is your store platform
  • You can give us limited access to Affinity
  • You want a clear scope and price
  • Someone can confirm the test results
  • Teams tracking relationships

    Persons and organisations sync.

  • Teams logging notes

    Notes can be created.

  • Teams on Zapier or Tray

    Both list a link.

  • Teams on Skyvia

    Sync avoids duplicates.

  • Teams on n8n

    Custom flows are possible.

  • Teams reading Whalesync

    Its claims conflict.

Problems solved

Shopify Affinity Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Relationship syncs fail on duplicates and direction. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Duplicate persons

The outcome

Contacts split. We match on email.

The problem

Two-way sync overwrites

The outcome

Data is lost. We set direction.

The problem

Dated Zap broken

The outcome

Steps differ. We test live.

The problem

Fields unmapped

The outcome

Records land blank. We map each.

The problem

Whalesync trusted blindly

The outcome

Support is unclear. We verify.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Setup is unwritten, so the next change starts from guesswork. We write down the triggers, fields and tests.

What we connect and check

How Shopify Affinity Integration Moves Data Between Shopify and Affinity

All connections follow the same path. The store sends an event, we check it against what Affinity already holds, the right record is written and the change is logged where your sales team can see it. The map shows the pieces we connect and test before handover.

Process and timeline

How We Build Your Affinity Integration, Step by Step

Six stages, in order. Nothing touches live data until you have seen it work on a copy, and your calculator choices decide how long each stage takes.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

First we find out what you sell, how your team uses Affinity and which events count. A quick look at your orders and contacts tells us where to begin and what to avoid.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

Access is narrow and approved by you, using an OAuth sign-in or an API key. A live read proves the connection works before any build begins.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

The map covers email address, order total, lead source and owner; we put the conflict winners and blank rules in writing.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

The flow is built against test data, never your live records. You see the plan and, where useful, a recorded run.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

We run a first-time buyer, a repeat customer and a refunded order, then refunds and edits, and verify each outcome against what the store shows.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

When you say go, the flow goes live. We watch the first runs and leave you notes, a diagram and a recorded walkthrough.

How We Protect Your Orders and Customer Data

Integrations move customer data between systems, so mistakes are costly. These practices come with every package and explain why a fixed fee can still be a careful one.

Build in a copy, never live

The flow is built and tested against test data. Your live orders and contacts are untouched until you approve.

Narrow access, in your name

We ask for the least access that works, through an OAuth sign-in or an API key, and every account stays under your ownership.

Counts compared, not assumed

Every load ends with a count against the source, which catches gaps and doubles quickly.

A written definition of done

Done means the flow copes with a first-time buyer, a repeat customer and a refunded order, and the results are written in the log.

Nothing sent without approval

Emails, texts and posts that reach customers are approved by you before they are enabled.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

You know the cost up front. Two revision rounds cover changes within scope, which keeps tweaks from becoming extra invoices.

One flow live between Shopify and Affinity: create or update the contact, mapped and tested.

  • Secure Affinity connection via an OAuth sign-in or an API key
  • Trigger for the event: a customer signs up
  • Email address, order total and lead source mapped
  • Duplicate protection on every write
  • Test on a first-time buyer and a repeat customer
  • Test log and recorded handover

Three flows running: Affinity will create or update the contact; attach the order to the right deal; and record the refund on the same record, plus filters, retries and alerts.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • A trigger for each: a customer signs up, an order is paid, an order is refunded
  • Mapping extended to owner and custom fields
  • Filtering on tags, countries and totals
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Tested with a first-time buyer, a repeat customer and a refunded order

The full build: two-way sync, history, monitoring for two weeks and a runbook.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way sync, each field with its own rule
  • A one-off catch-up of earlier contacts
  • Two weeks of monitoring after go-live
  • Roles and permissions reviewed
  • Team runbook in plain English

Projects beyond these packages, such as custom objects, heavy history loads, multi-store designs or a custom API build, are scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a short call.

Roughly how many orders do you take each month?Required

Larger volumes need more careful queuing and testing.

Should data move one way or both ways?Required

Both directions need agreed winners for every field.

Does Affinity already hold records we must match?Required

We match what exists before anything new is written.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Hire Us to Connect Affinity and Shopify

Templates cover the happy path. We cover the rest, and we put the result in writing.

Notes a colleague can follow

We document what moves where and which settings we picked, so the next developer starts informed.

Experience since 2015

We have launched more than 450 Shopify stores since 2015 and met most of the quirks that trip up integrations.

Safety designed in

Every build includes retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access; none are paid extras.

We live inside Shopify

Orders, refunds, edits and metafields are daily work for us. That is a different skill from knowing the menus of Affinity.

Tested on your real cases

Tests use the cases your store really sees, for example a first-time buyer, a repeat customer and a refunded order.

A direct line to the builder

You message the person who has your flow open. Questions about a trigger or a field get a straight answer.

What we need to get started

What We Need From You to Begin

Three things get the work moving: safe access, a few answers and a decision-maker. Here is the detail.

Approve a collaborator request

Selling already? Send the address and accept a collaborator request. You keep ownership, we get a limited role, and you can revoke it at any moment.

Starting from nothing? We build first

We can assemble the store in our own Shopify Partner account, connect Affinity there, then hand the whole store over by ownership transfer. You pick a Shopify plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

If it is simpler, a staff login will do. We prefer the collaborator route because it is revocable in one click and no password changes hands.

Your Affinity access

Set up the account and invite us, or have us create it under your email. You stay the owner either way, and access runs through an OAuth sign-in or an API key.

Sample records

Two or three representative records from each side are enough. They show us the true shape of your data.

A decision-maker

Name the person who approves the plan and the test, and tell us which system should win when Affinity and Shopify disagree.

Your Shopify owner password and card details never reach us. Changes are made in a copy, and we note every setting we touch.

FAQ

Affinity Integration FAQs

Everything owners ask us before booking.

How much does Shopify Affinity integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $390, Core Workflows $790 and Full Integration $1490. Order volume, data direction, existing Affinity data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $390 and $2090, with delivery from 3 to 14 working days.

How long does the Affinity integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 5 working days, Core Workflows 5 to 9 and Full Integration 8 to 14. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.
