ThriveCart and Shopify, connected properly

ThriveCart Shopify Integration, Set Up by Shopify Specialists

A ThriveCart Shopify integration is for sellers who use ThriveCart checkouts for digital offers and Shopify for everything else: one customer list, one set of reports, no manual copying. Zapier's ThriveCart app offers product-purchase and upsell-purchase triggers, but we found no ready-made Shopify pairing, so we build the Shopify step ourselves and test with a live transaction, from $390.

  • ThriveCart purchase and upsell triggers connected
  • Shopify customer or order created through a tested step
  • Duplicate and refund handling
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Our track record

450+ Shopify Stores Launched Since 2015. Your ThriveCart Connection Gets the Same Care.

A connection between Shopify and ThriveCart pays for itself only if the data is right on a normal busy day. Through ten years of building stores, we know where orders, customers and products most often break an integration, and we design around it.

Who this is for

Is Our ThriveCart Shopify Integration Right for You? Six Typical Cases

Two checkouts mean two customer lists. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Your store runs on Shopify
  • You have, or will open, a ThriveCart account
  • You want a fixed price and a written scope
  • You can share the access we ask for
  • Sellers using ThriveCart and Shopify together

Buyers from either checkout end up in one place.

  • Owners expecting a ready-made template

We found none for ThriveCart and Shopify, so we build the step.

  • Owners with upsells

Upsell purchases are a separate trigger and are handled.

  • Owners with duplicate customers

We match on email before creating.

  • Owners handling refunds

Refunds in one system must be reflected in the other.

  • Owners who test with fake data

Zapier's community advice is to test with a live transaction. We do.

Problems solved

What Breaks in a ThriveCart Connection, and the Fix for Each

Checkout syncs fail on matching and testing. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Duplicate customers

The outcome

A buyer can appear twice if records are not matched, so we match on email.

The problem

Missed upsells

The outcome

Upsell purchases are separate events, so we add the Upsell Purchase trigger.

The problem

Refund drift

The outcome

Refunds on one side drift from the other, so we reconcile them.

The problem

Webhook misconfigured

The outcome

A wrong webhook URL or trigger event stops the flow, so we verify both and test with a live transaction.

The problem

No product mapping

The outcome

Without a product map, the wrong Shopify item is used, so we map them.

The problem

No log

The outcome

Without a log you cannot trace a failed flow, so we keep one.

What we can do

Six Parts of a Reliable ThriveCart and Shopify Connection

How we connect ThriveCart and Shopify, in order.

Triggers

We use ThriveCart's Product Purchase and Upsell Purchase triggers.

Mapping

We map products and customers.

Shopify step

We add the Shopify step by webhook or Zapier's Shopify app; no ready-made pairing was found.

Matching

We match customers on email.

Tests

We test with a live transaction.

Handover

You receive written notes and a recorded walkthrough.

  • Early live runs observed
  • Tested with a checkout with a bump

Handover

What Happens When a checkout is completed: The ThriveCart Flow

See the build as a short chain: event, check, write, log. Each link is tested on its own and again as a whole, with real orders, before we ask you to approve anything.

Six Stages From Brief to Live ThriveCart Sync

We follow the same six steps on every build, which is why the price can be fixed.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

We start with questions: what you sell, how ThriveCart fits your day and which events matter. Reading through your orders and products shows where the flow begins and what it must never touch.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

You approve narrow access to Shopify and ThriveCart, using an API key or a connected account. We confirm the connection with a live read before building on it.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

We map email, product, amount and affiliate, then agree which side wins each conflict and what blanks should do, in writing.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

We build against test data, not your live records, and show you the plan and a recorded run where it helps.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

The tests cover a standard checkout, a checkout with a bump and a refund, along with refunds and edits, and we check each result against Shopify.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

When you say go, the flow goes live. We watch the first runs and leave you notes, a diagram and a recorded walkthrough.

What Keeps Your Store and ThriveCart Data Safe

Integrations move customer data between systems, so mistakes are costly. These practices come with every package and explain why a fixed fee can still be a careful one.

Narrow access, in your name

We request only the permissions the flow needs, via an API key or a connected account, and you own every account.

Nothing sent without approval

No message to a customer goes live until you have read and approved it.

A written definition of done

A flow is finished when it handles a standard checkout, a checkout with a bump and a refund correctly and the results are logged.

Build in a copy, never live

Everything is built and tested on test data, so your live orders and products stay untouched until you approve.

Counts compared, not assumed

Every load ends with a count against the source, which catches gaps and doubles quickly.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

Price first, then two structured revision rounds for anything in scope, so no tweak becomes a surprise charge.

Choose your packageRequired

Each package reaches further into ThriveCart. Every option below shows its own price and any extra days, so nothing is sprung on you after checkout.

The essentials: ThriveCart connected, one flow built to create the customer and order, tested end to end.

  • ThriveCart connected using an API key or a connected account
  • First trigger built: a checkout is completed
  • Mapping for email, product and amount
  • Duplicate protection on every write
  • Checks on a standard checkout and a checkout with a bump
  • A log of the tests and a short recorded tour

The core set: ThriveCart will create the customer and order; add the bump to the order; reverse the order, protected by filters and retries.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Events handled: a checkout is completed; an order bump is added; an order is refunded
  • Affiliate and custom fields added to the map
  • Filtering on tags, countries and totals
  • Failed runs retried, then reported
  • Checks on a standard checkout, a checkout with a bump and a refund

The full build: two-way sync, history, monitoring for two weeks and a runbook.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way sync, each field with its own rule
  • One-off history load of past products
  • A fortnight of run checks after launch
  • A check of who can do what
  • A runbook your team can follow

Custom objects, unusual authentication, several Shopify stores feeding one ThriveCart account, stores above 10,000 orders a month, and builds that need your own servers are quoted separately at a fixed price.

Roughly how many orders do you take each month?Required

Volume decides how much load planning the build needs.

Which way should data flow?Required

Syncing both ways means a conflict rule for each shared field.

Are there existing records in ThriveCart to deal with?Required

Matching comes first, so nothing is duplicated.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Owners Choose Our ThriveCart Shopify Integration Over Doing It Alone

Templates cover the happy path. We cover the rest, and we put the result in writing.

Safety designed in

Retries, alerts, unique keys and limited access come as standard in every build.

We live inside Shopify

Daily work on orders, refunds and metafields gives us Shopify depth that ThriveCart menus alone do not.

Experience since 2015

We have launched more than 450 Shopify stores since 2015 and met most of the quirks that trip up integrations.

Tested on your real cases

Tests use the cases your store really sees, for example a standard checkout, a checkout with a bump and a refund.

Notes a colleague can follow

The handover notes say what moves where and why each setting was chosen, so nobody has to guess later.

A direct line to the builder

You message the person who has your flow open. Questions about a trigger or a field get a straight answer.

What we need to get started

Getting Started: What We Ask For

Three things get the work moving: safe access, a few answers and a decision-maker. Here is the detail.

Approve a collaborator request

Selling already? Send the address and accept a collaborator request. You keep ownership, we get a limited role, and you can revoke it at any moment.

Starting from nothing? We build first

No store yet? We build it in our Partner account, connect ThriveCart there and transfer the whole store to you, so you choose a plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

A staff login works if that is easier. We still recommend the collaborator route, since it can be revoked in one click and leaves no password in circulation.

Your ThriveCart access

Set up the account and invite us, or have us create it under your email. You stay the owner either way, and access runs through an API key or a connected account.

Sample records

Send two or three typical records from each side, or tell us where to find them. Real examples show us how your data is actually shaped.

A decision-maker

Who signs off the plan and the test? And when ThriveCart and Shopify disagree, which one is right? Those two answers are all we need.

We never need your owner password or payment details. Access is limited, logged and removable at any time.

FAQ

ThriveCart Shopify Integration FAQs

Straight answers on price, scope, timing and what we need from you.

How much does ThriveCart Shopify integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $690, Core Workflows $1390 and Full Integration $2690. Order volume, data direction, existing ThriveCart data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $690 and $3770, with delivery from 3 to 16 working days.

How long does the ThriveCart integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 6 working days, Core Workflows 6 to 10 and Full Integration 9 to 16. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.

Is there a ThriveCart Shopify integration?

We found no ready-made one; we build it with Zapier or a webhook.

Which ThriveCart triggers exist?

Product Purchase and Upsell Purchase on Zapier. You may also see it searched as "thrivecart zapier shopify"; this page covers that too.

Can an upsell purchase be captured?

Yes, with the upsell trigger. People also search for "does thrivecart work with shopify"; the same build answers that too.

How should it be tested?

With a live transaction, per Zapier community advice. People also search for "shopify to thrivecart sync"; the same build answers that too.

What about refunds?

They need their own step. You may also see it searched as "thrivecart shopify zapier"; the work is the same.

Will customers be duplicated?

Not if we match on email. You may also see it searched as "thrivecart shopify make.com"; the same build answers that too.

Can you build it?

Yes.
