Tally and Shopify, connected properly

Shopify Tally Integration, Without the Copy-Paste

A Shopify Tally integration connects free, clean forms to your store: a quote request becomes a draft order, a sign-up becomes a customer, an answer updates a profile. Tally has no confirmed native Shopify integration, so the link is Zapier's New Form Response trigger or a Tally webhook into Make or n8n. We design the form, map the fields and test the flow, from $390.

  • Form responses create or update Shopify customers
  • Quote forms create draft orders for review
  • Webhook route for Make or n8n where Zapier is not wanted
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Who this is for

Who Needs a Careful Shopify Tally integration Build

Tally is the lightweight form builder. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Shopify is your store platform
  • You can give us limited access to Tally
  • You want a clear scope and price
  • Someone can confirm the test results
  • Stores taking enquiries or applications

A response creates a customer with tags.

  • Sellers with quote forms

A response creates a draft order.

  • Teams preferring Make or n8n

Tally can send a webhook that those tools catch.

  • Owners avoiding paid form tools

Tally connects to Zapier and webhooks for free, though Zapier task limits apply.

  • Owners expecting a native link

Sources conflict, so we assume none and build the connection.

  • Teams with duplicates

A returning respondent updates, not duplicates.

The connection, mapped

How Shopify Tally Integration Moves Data Between Shopify and Tally

Every connection follows the same path. The store sends an event, we check it against what Tally already holds, the right record is written and the change is logged where your sales or support team can see it. This map shows the pieces we connect and test before handover.

How We Build Your Tally Integration, Step by Step

Six stages, in order. Nothing touches live data until you have seen it work on a copy, and your calculator choices decide how long each stage takes.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

We start with questions: what you sell, how Tally fits your day and which events matter. Reading through your orders and submissions shows where the flow begins and what it must never touch.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

Access is narrow and approved by you, using an API key or a connected account. A live read proves the connection works before any build begins.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

The map covers submitter email, answer, hidden field and form id; we put the conflict winners and blank rules in writing.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

A copy comes first: test data only, a visible plan and, where helpful, a recorded run.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

The tests cover a complete submission, a submission with a hidden field and an unapproved submission, along with refunds and edits, and we check each result against Shopify.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

On your approval the flow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.

How We Protect Your Orders and Customer Data

None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.

Nothing sent without approval

Emails, texts and posts that reach customers are approved by you before they are enabled.

Failures raise a flag

A named person receives an alert, with the order and the reason, whenever a run fails.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

You see the price before paying. Changes within scope go through two structured rounds, so a tweak never becomes an hourly invoice.

Secrets kept in a vault

Keys and tokens live in a secure vault, not in notes, spreadsheets or chat.

Narrow access, in your name

We ask for the least access that works, through an API key or a connected account, and every account stays under your ownership.

Counts compared, not assumed

After any load we compare counts with the source, so missing or doubled records are caught early.

One flow live between Shopify and Tally: create the customer, mapped and tested.

  • Tally connected using an API key or a connected account
  • A trigger for when a submission arrives
  • Mapping for submitter email, answer and hidden field
  • A unique key on every write
  • Test on a complete submission and a submission with a hidden field
  • A log of the tests and a short recorded tour

Three flows running: Tally will create the customer; match the submission to the order; and route it for approval, plus filters, retries and alerts.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Events handled: a submission arrives; a hidden field carries an order number; a submission needs approval
  • Form id and custom fields added to the map
  • Rules by tag, country and order value
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Proven on a complete submission, a submission with a hidden field and an unapproved submission

Two-way sync with history loaded, a fortnight of monitoring and a runbook your team can follow.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Per-field conflict rules for two-way updates
  • History load of previous submissions
  • A fortnight of run checks after launch
  • Roles and permissions reviewed
  • Written runbook for your team

If your Tally setup relies on custom code, a private API, an on-premise system or more than one store, send a short brief and we will quote it as a fixed-price project.

How many orders does the store process a month?Required

More orders means more queuing, throttling and testing.

How should data flow between Shopify and Tally?Required

Two-way sync needs conflict rules for every shared field.

Does Tally already hold records we must match?Required

We match what exists before anything new is written.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Owners Choose Our Shopify Tally Integration Over Doing It Alone

Most of this job is clicking, and you could do it. People hire us because the unglamorous parts, ids, timing and edge cases, decide whether the connection helps or hurts.

Experience since 2015

Over 450 Shopify stores since 2015 mean we have seen most of the odd cases that break integrations.

Safety designed in

Retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access are in every build, not offered as extras.

Notes a colleague can follow

Handover notes record the data paths and the choices behind each setting, ready for whoever works on it next.

We live inside Shopify

Daily work on orders, refunds and metafields gives us Shopify depth that Tally menus alone do not.

A price you can plan around

Prices and extra days are visible for each package and option. Plan fees for Tally come from Tally directly; its pricing page has the latest.

Tested on your real cases

Your real scenarios are the test plan: a complete submission, a submission with a hidden field and an unapproved submission.

What we need to get started

Getting Started: What We Ask For

The list is short. Most owners have everything ready in a day.

Approve a collaborator request

Selling already? Send the address and accept a collaborator request. You keep ownership, we get a limited role, and you can revoke it at any moment.

Starting from nothing? We build first

We can assemble the store in our own Shopify Partner account, connect Tally there, then hand the whole store over by ownership transfer. You pick a Shopify plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

If it is simpler, a staff login will do. We prefer the collaborator route because it is revocable in one click and no password changes hands.

Your Tally access

Set up the account and invite us, or have us create it under your email. You stay the owner either way, and access runs through an API key or a connected account.

Sample records

Tell us where typical records live, or send a handful from each system. Real examples beat assumptions.

A decision-maker

Name the person who approves the plan and the test, and tell us which system should win when Tally and Shopify disagree.

We never need your owner password or payment details. Access is limited, logged and removable at any time.

FAQ

Questions About Tally and Shopify Integration

Straight answers on price, scope, timing and what we need from you.

How much does Shopify Tally integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $390, Core Workflows $790 and Full Integration $1490. Order volume, data direction, existing Tally data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $390 and $2090, with delivery from 3 to 14 working days.

How long does the Tally integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 5 working days, Core Workflows 5 to 9 and Full Integration 8 to 14. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.

Does Tally integrate with Shopify?

We could not confirm a native integration. Zapier and webhooks connect them. Queries such as "shopify to tally sync" describe the same work.

Can a Tally response create a Shopify customer?

Yes, through Zapier's New Form Response trigger and Create Customer. Queries such as "tally forms shopify" point to this service.

Can I use Make or n8n?

Yes, Tally can send a webhook for them to catch. Another way to phrase it: "shopify to tally integration"; the same build answers that too.

Is Tally free?

Its features page lists Zapier and webhook connections as free. Zapier task limits still apply. The same job is behind "tally shopify integration".

Can responses create draft orders?

Yes, with product mapping. Queries such as "tally prime shopify integration" point to this service.

Can you capture consent?

Yes. This also answers "tally shopify app".

Can you test with a sample form?

Yes. Queries such as "shopify to tally prime" describe the same work.
