A careful Ko-fi and Shopify build

Shopify Ko-fi Integration, Priced Up Front, Built With Care

A Shopify Ko-fi integration has no native connection in our research. Zapier creates a Shopify order for each new Ko-fi payment, Integrately has Ko-fi triggers for shop orders, membership payments and donations, and Make builds custom flows. It is a workflow you set up, not a built-in feature. We build, test and hand over, from $390.

  • Ko-fi payment types separated
  • Orders, customers and tags created in Shopify
  • Donations kept apart from product sales
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Our track record

450+ Shopify Stores Launched Since 2015. Your Ko-fi Connection Gets the Same Care.

A connection between Shopify and Ko-fi proves its worth only when the data is right on a normal busy day. Having spent a decade building stores, we have learned where orders, customers and products tend to break an integration, and we build with it in mind.

Who this is for

Who Our Shopify Ko-fi Integration Service Is For

Creators on Ko-fi and Shopify want supporters and buyers in one list. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Your store runs on Shopify
  • You have, or will open, a Ko-fi account
  • You want a fixed price and a written scope
  • You can share the access we ask for
  • Creators with supporters

A Ko-fi payment can create a Shopify order or customer.

  • Creators with a Ko-fi shop

Shop orders can be mirrored in Shopify.

  • Creators with memberships

Membership payments are a separate trigger.

  • Creators tracking income

Donations should not be counted as product sales.

  • Teams on Make

Custom flows use triggers, actions and searches.

  • Teams on old listings

One listing is about 2,300 days old.

Problems solved

Shopify Ko-fi Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Creator payment mirrors fail on type and duplicates. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Donation treated as sale

The outcome

Reports are wrong. We separate types.

The problem

Duplicate customers

The outcome

Supporters split. We match on email.

The problem

Orders repeat

The outcome

Retries create copies. We check first.

The problem

Membership not tagged

The outcome

Supporters get no perks. We tag by tier.

The problem

Old Zap used

The outcome

A template fails. We test live.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Setup is unwritten, so the next change starts from guesswork. We write down the triggers, fields and tests.

How We Wire Ko-fi to Your Store, Step by Step

An integration is best judged when you can see it. The picture shows the pieces we build for Ko-fi: the records on each side, the status of every link and the log a person can read.

Process and timeline

From First Call to Live Sync: Our Shopify Ko-fi Integration Process

Six stages, in order. Nothing touches live data until you have seen it work on a copy, and your calculator choices decide how long each stage takes.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

First we find out what you sell, how your team uses Ko-fi and which events count. A quick look at your orders and posts tells us where to begin and what to avoid.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

Access is narrow and approved by you, using a connected profile with posting permission. A live read proves the connection works before any build begins.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

Caption, image, link and schedule are matched across both tools, and we record who wins each conflict and how blanks are treated.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

A copy comes first: test data only, a visible plan and, where helpful, a recorded run.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

The tests cover a new product, a launch and a sold-out item, along with refunds and edits, and we check each result against Shopify.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

When you say go, the flow goes live. We watch the first runs and leave you notes, a diagram and a recorded walkthrough.

How We Protect Your Orders and Customer Data

Integrations move customer data between systems, so mistakes are costly. These practices come with every package and explain why a fixed fee can still be a careful one.

Counts compared, not assumed

After any load we compare counts with the source, so missing or doubled records are caught early.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

You see the price before paying. Changes within scope go through two structured rounds, so a tweak never becomes an hourly invoice.

Build in a copy, never live

Test data comes first. Live orders and posts are left alone until you sign off.

Nothing sent without approval

No message to a customer goes live until you have read and approved it.

Failures raise a flag

When a run fails, a named person is told which order and why. Silence is never taken as success.

Narrow access, in your name

Access is as narrow as possible, granted through a connected profile with posting permission, and every account remains yours.

Choose your packageRequired

Each package goes deeper into Ko-fi. Every option below shows its own price and any extra days, so nothing is revealed after checkout.

One flow live between Shopify and Ko-fi: queue a post with the product image and link, mapped and tested.

  • Ko-fi linked with a connected profile with posting permission
  • First trigger built: a product is published
  • Field map covering caption, image and link
  • Every write protected from duplicates
  • Test on a new product and a launch
  • Test log plus a recorded walkthrough

The core set: Ko-fi will queue a post with the product image and link; announce the collection on the right profiles; share the milestone to the team feed, protected by filters and retries.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • Three triggers: a product is published; a collection launches; an order milestone is reached
  • Schedule and custom fields mapped
  • Tag, country and value filters
  • Retries, plus an alert when a run fails
  • Tested with a new product, a launch and a sold-out item

The full build: two-way sync, history, monitoring for two weeks and a runbook.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way sync, each field with its own rule
  • A one-off catch-up of earlier posts
  • Two weeks of monitoring after go-live
  • A check of who can do what
  • Team runbook in plain English

Projects beyond these packages, such as bespoke objects, heavy history loads, multi-store designs or a custom API build, are scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a short call.

Roughly how many orders do you take each month?Required

More orders means more queuing, throttling and testing.

One-way or two-way sync?Required

Two-way sync needs conflict rules for every shared field.

Are there existing records in Ko-fi to deal with?Required

Existing records must be matched before the first sync.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Hire Us to Connect Ko-fi and Shopify

Templates cover the happy path. We cover the rest, and we put the result in writing.

A direct line to the builder

You message the person who has your flow open. Questions about a trigger or a field get a straight answer.

Tested on your real cases

Your real scenarios are the test plan: a new product, a launch and a sold-out item.

We live inside Shopify

Daily work on orders, refunds and metafields gives us Shopify depth that Ko-fi menus alone do not.

Safety designed in

Every build includes retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access; none are paid extras.

Notes a colleague can follow

Our handover records what moves where and which settings were chosen, so a future developer will not have to guess.

A price you can plan around

You see the cost and extra days for each choice in the calculator. Any Ko-fi subscription is billed by Ko-fi, so check what it charges today.

What we need to get started

Getting Started: What We Ask For

The list is short. Most owners have everything ready in a day.

Approve a collaborator request

Already selling? Send the store address and accept the request we raise. You stay the owner, we see only what the role permits, and you can remove us at any time.

Starting from nothing? We build first

No store yet? We build it in our Partner account, connect Ko-fi there and transfer the whole store to you, so you choose a plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

Sharing a staff login is possible. The collaborator route is safer, though: one click removes it and no password is passed around.

Your Ko-fi access

Create the account yourself and invite us, or ask us to create it with your email. Either way you hold the owner role, and we use a connected profile with posting permission.

Sample records

Share a few typical records from both tools, or point us to them. Real examples reveal how your data is really structured.

A decision-maker

Who signs off the plan and the test? And when Ko-fi and Shopify disagree, which one is right? Those two answers are all we need.

We never need your owner password or payment details. Access is limited, logged and removable at any time.
