Guru integration for Shopify

Guru Shopify Integration, Without the Copy-Paste

A Guru Shopify integration puts your support team's knowledge next to store events: a new order flag, a product recall notice, a fulfilment delay playbook, a card updated when a policy changes. We found no native link. Guru's Zapier integration reaches over 3,000 apps with instant triggers, and Zoho Flow and Integrately list Shopify flows. We design the cards and the sync, from $390.

  • Guru cards linked to Shopify products and policies
  • Store events creating or updating cards
  • Verification tasks for out-of-date cards
  • Test log and a recorded handover

Our track record

Over 450 Stores Built Since 2015. Here Is What That Means for Your Guru Link.

A decade spent in hundreds of Shopify stores pays off in small decisions: which id to key on, when to retry, which side wins a conflict. Those decisions keep an AI or automation tool integration steady and dependable.

Who this is for

Is Our Guru Shopify Integration Right for You? Six Typical Cases

Support answers go stale unless the knowledge base follows the store. These are the cases we build for.

You are a good fit if
  • Your orders come through Shopify
  • Guru is, or will be, in your toolset
  • You would rather pay once than by the hour
  • You can review a test run with us
  • Support teams answering from Guru

Product and policy cards stay in step with the store.

  • Teams after a native app

We found no native Guru-Shopify integration, so the link is built.

  • Teams reacting to events

Zapier triggers in Guru fire instantly for 16 triggers per a third-party guide.

  • Teams using Zoho Flow

A Shopify and Guru flow lists triggers such as Order fulfilled and Customer updated.

  • Teams keeping cards verified

Cards that become Unverified can create a task, as Guru's own example does with Asana.

  • Teams confused by a similar app name

Metafield Guru is a separate Shopify app, not Guru.

Problems solved

Guru Shopify Integration: Six Faults We Fix First

Knowledge-sync flows fail on ownership and staleness. These are the six faults we fix.

The problem

Stale cards

The outcome

Policies change and cards do not. We link updates.

The problem

No owner

The outcome

Nobody verifies. We assign.

The problem

Duplicate cards

The outcome

Product launches duplicate. We key by product ID.

The problem

Cards not tied to products

The outcome

Agents cannot find them. We tag by SKU.

The problem

Late updates

The outcome

Agents quote old rules. We test timing.

The problem

No handover

The outcome

Rules are unwritten. We document them.

  • Every trigger proven separately
  • Filtering on tags, countries and totals

Mapping

  • Custom fields mapped where needed
  • A mapping table you can read
  • A winner chosen for each field
  • Output and status mapped and formatted

Safety

  • Idempotent writes throughout
  • Failure alerts to a named person
  • Daily check for silent stops
  • Rate limits respected

Testing

  • Refunds and edits tested
  • Test log handed over

  • Check against a policy change

Handover

  • Help with questions after go-live
  • Screen-recorded tour of the flow
  • Two rounds of changes included
  • Notes covering each setting

You share access, answer a short brief and confirm the test results. Everything else, from the first connection to the final log, is ours.

What we connect and check

Guru and Shopify: How the Connection Is Wired

Each connection follows the same path. The store sends an event, we check it against what Guru already holds, the right record is written and the change is logged where your operations team can see it. The picture shows the pieces we connect and test before handover.

Six Stages From Brief to Live Guru Sync

A fixed order of work keeps the project predictable. You know what happens next at every point.

  1. 1

    Brief and scope

First we find out what you sell, how your team uses Guru and which events count. A quick look at your orders and runs tells us where to begin and what to avoid.

  2. 2

    Access and connection

Access is narrow and approved by you, using an API key or a connected account. A live read proves the connection works before any build begins.

  3. 3

    Map and rule

Input, output, status and cost are matched across both tools, and we record who wins each conflict and how blanks are treated.

  4. 4

    Build in a copy

Nothing is built on live records. The flow runs on test data first, and you see the plan, plus a recording if useful.

  5. 5

    Test on real cases

The tests cover a policy change, a product update and a search, along with refunds and edits, and we check each result against Shopify.

  6. 6

    Go live and hand over

On your approval the flow is switched on and monitored through its first runs, and you receive notes, a diagram and a quick video tour.

Six Safeguards Built Into Every Guru Integration

None of these costs extra. They are simply how we work.

Nothing sent without approval

Anything that emails, texts or posts to a customer is reviewed with you before it is switched on.

Plain scope, two revision rounds

You know the cost up front. Two revision rounds cover changes within scope, which keeps tweaks from becoming extra invoices.

Counts compared, not assumed

After any load we compare counts with the source, so missing or doubled records are caught early.

Secrets kept in a vault

Tokens and keys are stored in a secure vault, never pasted into notes or chat.

Narrow access, in your name

The smallest workable access, set up through an API key or a connected account, with all accounts in your name.

A written definition of done

A flow is finished when it handles a policy change, a product update and a search correctly and the results are logged.

One flow live between Shopify and Guru: update the knowledge card, mapped and tested.

  • Guru connected using an API key or a connected account
  • One trigger built: when a policy changes
  • Input, output and status mapped
  • A unique key on every write
  • Test on a policy change and a product update
  • A log of the tests and a short recorded tour

Guru will update the knowledge card, refresh the product facts and return the card with its source, with filters, retries and a failure alert.

  • Everything in Single Workflow
  • A trigger for each: a policy changes, a product page is updated, an agent searches
  • Cost plus custom fields matched
  • Tag, country and value filters
  • Failed runs retried, then reported
  • Proven on a policy change, a product update and a search

Two-way sync with history loaded, a fortnight of monitoring and a runbook your team can follow.

  • Everything in Core Workflows
  • Two-way sync, each field with its own rule
  • History load of previous runs
  • Monitoring for 14 days after launch
  • Access and roles review
  • Runbook with the rules and the fixes

Custom objects, unusual authentication, several Shopify stores feeding one Guru account, high-volume stores above 10,000 orders a month, and builds that need your own servers are quoted separately at a fixed price.

How busy is the store, in orders per month?Required

Volume decides how much load planning the build needs.

How should data flow between Shopify and Guru?Required

Two-way sync needs conflict rules for every shared field.

Is there data already inside Guru?Required

We match what exists before anything new is written.

How soon do you need it live?Required

Standard follows the schedule your other choices set. Pay to move up the queue and go live sooner.

Optional extrasOptional

Each one begins switched off. Turn on what you need, watch the total, switch it back off.

Why Store Design Expert

Why Owners Choose Our Guru Shopify Integration Over Doing It Alone

You are paying for judgement and for a result you can inspect, not for hours.

A direct line to the builder

Ask the person who built it. Questions about triggers or fields get a direct reply.

Tested on your real cases

Tests use the cases your store really sees, for example a policy change, a product update and a search.

4.9+ from verified clients

Every review on this page is from a verified Store Design Expert client, which lets you see how projects went first.

A price you can plan around

Prices and extra days are visible for each package and option. Plan fees for Guru come from Guru directly; its pricing page has the latest.

Safety designed in

Retries, alerts, unique keys and narrow access are in every build, not offered as extras.

Notes a colleague can follow

Our handover records what moves where and which settings were chosen, so a future developer will not have to guess.

What we need to get started

What We Need From You to Begin

Three things get the work moving: safe access, a few answers and a decision-maker. Here is the detail.

Approve a collaborator request

Already trading? Share the store address and accept our collaborator request. You remain the owner, we see only what the role allows, and you can remove us whenever you like.

Starting from nothing? We build first

No store yet? We build it in our Partner account, connect Guru there and transfer the whole store to you, so you choose a plan only at the end.

Or share a staff login

A staff login works if that is easier. We still recommend the collaborator route, since it can be revoked in one click and leaves no password in circulation.

Your Guru access

Create the account yourself and invite us, or ask us to create it with your email. Either way you hold the owner role, and we use an API key or a connected account.

Sample records

Two or three representative records from each side are enough. They show us the true shape of your data.

A decision-maker

Tell us who approves the plan and the test, and which rule should win when Guru and Shopify disagree.

Your Shopify owner password and card details never reach us. Changes are made in a copy, and we note every setting we touch.

FAQ

Guru Shopify Integration FAQs

Everything owners ask us before booking.

How much does Guru Shopify integration cost?

Single Workflow costs $390, Core Workflows $790 and Full Integration $1490. Order volume, data direction, existing Guru data and add-ons change the total, and the calculator shows it before you pay. Most projects land between about $390 and $2090, with delivery from 3 to 14 working days.

How long does the Guru integration take?

Single Workflow takes 3 to 5 working days, Core Workflows 5 to 9 and Full Integration 8 to 14. The usual variables are how much history you want loaded and how quickly you approve the test results. The Sooner and Fastest options shorten the schedule when a launch date is fixed.

Does Guru integrate with Shopify?

We found no native link; Zapier, Zoho Flow and Integrately connect them.

Is Metafield Guru the same?

No, it is a separate Shopify app. If you typed "guru knowledge cards shopify", the answer is the same.

Are Guru's Zapier triggers instant?

A third-party guide says 16 of them are. The same job is behind "wishlist guru shopify app".

Can cards create tasks?

Yes, Guru's own example creates an Asana task when cards become Unverified. The same job is behind "metafields guru shopify".

Can store events update cards?

Yes, with a built flow. If you came here from "shopify metafields guru", the answer is the same.

Is a free Zapier plan enough?

A guide says Guru works from the free plan. The same service covers "quotes guru shopify".

Can you build it?

Yes. This also answers "shopify to guru sync".
